  • Patient Transportation Driver

    Salary: $17.00 Per Hour

    What You’ll Do

    • Safely operate buses and other vehicles to transport participants between homes, medical facilities, and the Day Center.
    • Assist with gurney, wheelchair, and ambulatory transfers including lifting and supporting participants and their medical equipment.
    • Support participants in and out of residences and care settings.
    • Observe and report changes in participants’ health or behavior.
    • Keep vehicles clean, perform pre/post trip inspections, and follow all DOT requirements.
    • Assist with light Day Center duties, including meals, supplies, and maintaining a safe environment.
    • Participate in the on-call rotation for transportation needs.


    Required:

    Job Duties

    • Transport residents in a facility owned vehicle to appointments

    General Description:

    As a pick-Up and Delivery Driver you will be responsible to pick up and deliver Goodyear Commercial Tire and Service Center products in a timely and professional manner.

    • All aspects of pickup and delivery of new and retreaded commercial tires, casings and other types of tire pickup and delivery between Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers locations, customers and Goodyear dealers.

    • Assist with loading and unloading commercial tires, casings, wheels, mounted wheel assemblies and related products while following all safety rules and procedures.

    • Keep all documents and maintenance records up to date on equipment assigned, e.g.,DOT Log.
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

    Basic Requirements:

    • Must have a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements.

    Salary: $25.00 Per Hour 

    Transportation:

    • Safely drive students to work-based learning sites, colleges, airports, and other designated activities.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
    • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
    • Assist students with boarding and disembarking the vehicle as needed.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff during transportation.

    Security Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular patrols of buildings and property to ensure physical security.
    • Check doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment for any signs of tampering or malfunction.
    • Immediately report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety hazards to appropriate authorities.

    Job Requirements:

    Mandatory:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

    • Flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules.

    1. Operates one or more types of motor vehicles such as passenger car, ambulance, hearse, truck, wrecker, forklift, tractor-trailer truck or sign-erecting truck.

    2. Drives a truck carrying employees and material to and from work location.

    3. Acts as a chauffeur to an official.

    4. Checks the tires, oil and fuel of the vehicle, and checks vehicle to see that lights, horn and brakes appear to be operating properly.

    5. Reports and noticeable mechanical defects in the vehicle.

    General Summary of Job Duties

    The Transportation Driver is responsible for transporting crews and captains and performing miscellaneous transportation tasks. Duties include but are not limited to, driving, coordinating, and communicating transport routes, occasional office activities, and other related services for the company as needed. This position works shifts including but not limited to late nights, early mornings, and weekend shifts. Safety, reliability, and communication are the keys to the success of this position. Due to the nature of this role, the Transportation Driver must work well with others and be very flexible as tasks constantly change throughout each shift.


    Specific Essential Job Duties

    • Provides on-call, safe, courteous, and timely transportation services for vessel crews and captains.
    • Picks up and drops off passengers and luggage in various locations within the dispatched areas, such as ports, airports, hotels, etc.
    • Communicates with dispatchers by phone or computer to receive requests for passenger service.
    • Maps out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trips.
    • Listens to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions.
    • Abides by all federal, state, and local laws, including all transportation rules, guidelines, and safety regulations; ensures passengers also follow applicable safety regulations.
    • Submits accident reports accurately and timely when necessary.
    • Reports vehicle problems to management timely upon discovery.
    • Ensures all transportation vehicles are always in a safe working condition.
    • Ensures vehicle equipment such as brakes, lights, windshield wipers, etc., is maintained and operating properly.
    • Conducts routine maintenance on vehicles including adding gasoline, oil, and water and checking tire pressure; ensures more specialized maintenance and repairs are performed.
    • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
    • Performs other related duties as designated by management.


    Qualifications Required

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
    • Class C endorsement preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
    • Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) is highly preferred and must be obtained upon acceptance of position or within 30 days of hire.
    • Must be able to pass a Federal and State background screening.
    • Available after hours, on an on-call basis, as scheduled.
    • Must be able to work daily on call as needed, including some weekends, nights, holidays, etc.
    • Previous verifiable experience handling duties in the transportation business.
