    Job Descriptions:

    1. Responsible for providing transportation for the residents and staff of Broadmead.
    2. Responsible for ensuring that safety is given the highest priority when transporting residents outside of the community.
    3. Responsible for making recommendations regarding the maintenance, upkeep, emission testing, and other service requirements for the vehicles used for resident transportation.
    4. Responsible for handling emergency situations when called upon which could arise while away from the community, and must have the ability to exercise good judgment while maintaining composure in such cases.
    5. Ability to respond to residents who may become ill while away from Broadmead.
    6. Ability to assist residents with getting in and out of the car, or on and off the bus.

    We are currently seeking a full-time Courier to join our team in Boerne, Texas. The Courier drives a light vehicle to deliver or pick up mail, merchandise or packages.

    Job Overview:

Each route typically takes 1 hour or less, and pays $40 per completed shift.

    You have:

    • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
    • Must have a current/valid Class A CDL; Tanker and HazMat endorsement(s) is plus.
    • Must have at least 9 months of experience with large mobile equipment or hauling vehicles.
    • Smartphone/web experience required to utilize GPS.
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet-based applications. SAP experience is helpful.
    • Familiar with traffic regulations and load restrictions.
    • Able to read, write, add, and subtract and to follow written or verbal instructions.
    • Flexibility to work in a variety of weather conditions
    • Customer service experience.


    Your Work:

    • Operate standard factory-equipped diesel straight truck and tractor with roll-off trailers, dump trailers and van trailers to pick-up a variety of steel products and accessory items from Gerdau steel suppliers.
    • Follow standard or prescribed methods or procedures. Work involves a complete range of duties, somewhat repetitive and routine in nature, requiring considerable care to drive tractor/trailer vehicle in a correct and safe manner, properly loading of trucks, and compliance with all DOT laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Good working conditions in closed truck cab free from weather elements except in occasional unloading. Subject to some noise, vibration, and fumes, but none to the extent of being disagreeable.
    • Make deliveries and/or pick-ups, operating from verbal, written or electronic instructions, invoices, bills of lading, shipping tickets, etc.
    • Keep accurate and legible records such as Driver’s Trip Reports, Driver’s Daily Log, Vehicle Inspection Report, and Driver’s Weekly Expense Report.
    • Maintain polite, courteous, and diplomatic relations with either customers, receivers, or suppliers with whom contact is made. May be required to contact the supplier for location/placement of roll-off bin.
    • Assist loading or unloading; unload without help as necessary; tie down the load with chains or cinches; attach markers for overhang.
    • Light physical effort consisting of continuous light exertion in driving, frequent effort in tying down the loads, and assisting unloading.
    • Continuous mental and visual attention in coordinating a good degree of manual dexterity with close visual attention for sustained periods.
    • Clean vehicle on a regular basis.

  • Delivery Specialist

    Pay: 18$ per hour

    The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

    Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.

    Responsible for keeping vehicles clean, maintained, and completing daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.

    Responsible for keeping delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected secure at all times.

    Pick up customer returns, i.e., new, warranty, cores, etc. and fill out driver return slip.

    Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.

    Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately.

    Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day’s business.

    Clock in/out according to company policy.

    Other additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.

    May occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks, when business dictates. (i.e.: phones, sales and service)

    All other duties as assigned.

    Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.

    Strong interpersonal communication skills.

    Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.

    Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

    This role is responsible for driving vehicles from the port on public roads to our facility –VSA Oxnard

    Job Description:

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Check for a survey, is it signed or dotted.
    • Perform a walk around the vehicle before moving (flat tire, other damage not noted)
    • Maintain a safe distance between other vehicles when driving down the road to VSA.
    • Drive defensively. Obey all local traffic laws and speed limits.
    • Stage the vehicles in the appropriate area / lanes per your Shuttle Lead’s direction
    • Parking vehicles on the line, leave keys in vehicles, doors unlocked, windows, sunroofs closed, lights off, and seat covers on.
    • Maintain a clean Shuttle van and work area.
    • Adhere to established quality, environmental local and safety standard.
    • Perform duties in other areas as required.

    Job Requirements:

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    • Complete understanding of direction given and yard flow process.

    • 10 years of driving experience
    • Good attendance and punctuality record
    • Full Time Positions only: 40 hours per week required with occasional overtime and weekends
