    The RedWagon Delivers is seeking reliable, motivated independent contractors to join our delivery team. Our ideal candidate has experience with platforms such as DoorDash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats, and understands how partnering with RedWagon can increase overall earnings. As a 1099 contractor, you will manage your own schedule and operate as an independent business partner.

    Deliveries typically take 30 minutes and are most frequent between 9 AM and 2 PM, though routes are available from 6 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. Your availability directly determines your earning potential. Compensation is per delivery, not hourly. Top earners regularly make between $50 and $200+ per day.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum age of 21
    • Valid U.S. driver’s license
    • Smartphone with navigation capability
    • Reliable personal vehicle (van or truck not required)
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions

    If onboarded, you must provide your own delivery equipment, including catering bags (23x13x15) and a collapsible cart, wagon, or hand truck. These items are required to meet client standards.

  • Shuttle Driver

    Salary: $32K – $49K

    Meet, greet and welcome customers of WVU Medicine while manning the shuttles. The shuttle drivers must have great customer service and driving skills when operating the shuttles.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

    1. Valid Driver’s License.

    8. If the Shuttle develops mechanical issues, document the problem and notify your supervisor immediately.

    9. No Cell Phone usage while Shuttle is operating per the law and policy.

    10. Breaks are to be taken on non-peak times.

    11. Communication between drivers upon leaving or arriving at a destination is required via radio.

    12. Documentation of passengers is to be updated at all destinations.

    13. Any suspicious activity is to be reported to the Security Dispatcher immediately

    14. Any vehicle assist with other motorist or employees are to be reported to Security Dispatcher immediately.

    15. Must know how to operate wheelchair lift on handicap equipped Shuttles.

    4. Evaluation by Occupational Medicine required upon hire or transfer to ensure medical fitness. Periodic evaluation after hire required. Any significant changes in health-status must be reported.

  • Van Driver

    Pay: $32K – $42K

    Van Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The safe and efficient operation of assigned motor vehicle
    • Extensive contact with patients/ residents of a nursing home facility
    • Assisting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle
    • Ensuring that passengers are safely seated inside the motor vehicle
    • Securing residents’ mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs
    • Keeping a record of each bus trip and the residents who attended
    • Documenting the mileage and time for each bus trip
    • Performing preventive maintenance functions such as checking lights, maintaining fluid levels, checking tire pressure, etc. and notifying supervisory personnel of need for further service or repair

    Van Driver Qualifications and Skills:

    • Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle
    • Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle
    • Ability to find geographic locations
    • Ability to follow oral/ written instructions and keep a record of activities
    • Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 80 pounds
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and staff
    • Possession of a valid driver’s license
    • Six to 12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle
    • Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities stated above

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Drives company vehicle to transport passengers.
    • Receives request for passenger service and picks up passengers at prearranged locations.
    • Assists passengers with entering and exiting vehicles and assists with any items.

    This position will require working outdoors while loading and unloading their Residents. The position also involves working indoors meeting and organizing Residents needing transportation. Position will work in a closed vehicle on a daily basis. Position is often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. Position will work near Residents, but usually have a few feet of space separating them from others.

    • Promote positive passenger relations; greet passengers in a friendly and courteous manner. Properly secure passengers and mobility devices; provide assistance in loading and unloading packages or other items carried by passengers.

    Salary: $23.67 – $31.57 Per Hour

    Nature of Position:

    Under the direction and guidance of the Operations Manager, the Mason Transit Authority (MTA) Driver is responsible for providing mobility through delivering transportation services to the citizens of Mason County and surrounding areas. MTA Drivers perform essential frontline work by providing the safe operation of motor vehicles, passenger assistance and customer service, radio operations, recordkeeping, and adherence to all applicable laws. This position requires the ability to consistently display sound judgment that results in decisions that promote positive and professional relationships with passengers and other team members, and that place the agency in the best possible light.

    DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

    Employees assigned to this class are part of the team effort that provides service and assistance to passengers, the public and other MTA team members. Incumbents are responsible for providing excellent customer service, efficient and safe operation of vehicles under varying traffic and road conditions; properly collecting all authorized fares; and promoting and maintaining positive relationships with customers and co-team members.

    Mason Transit Authority follows the requirements of the “Fair Chance Act,” RCW 49. We will not inquire about prior arrests and convictions until after we determine an applicant is otherwise qualified for the position for which the applicant applied, except as allowed under RCW 49.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Knowledge of: Mason County geographic area; defensive driving techniques and basic customer service principles.

    Skill in: communicating effectively both orally and in writing; establishing and maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with others; driving safely.

    Ability to: operate a transit passenger vehicle in accordance with traffic laws, ordinances and rules; calculate and handle fares and donations; tactfully and courteously meet and assist the public; promote good passenger relations; maintain a clean, neat appearance and pleasant disposition; and make sound judgments in a crisis situation; read, interpret and follow written policies and instructions; obtain Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement and air brake restriction removed; successfully pass physical examination required for CDL and overall driving fitness.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED);
    • General knowledge of Mason County geographical area;
    • Flexibility to work varied days, nights, weekends and holidays; punctuality and reliable attendance are essential;
    • A valid Washington State driver’s license;
    • Must be 21 years of age with five years licensed driving experience;
    • No moving violations within the past three years and no at-fault accidents within the last five years;
    • Provide drivers abstract dated no more than one month prior to application date;
    • Successfully pass background check;
    • Successfully obtain and maintain a medical certification card.
    • Must obtain CDL Learners Permit by first day of hire – January 21, 2026.

    PREFERRED:

    • A valid CDL with passenger endorsement and air brake restriction removed.
    • Experience in providing excellent customer service.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Reliable transportation to and from work.
    • Telephone or other reliable communication device, such as a cell phone or pager.
    • Accurate time piece (watch, etc.) carried at all times while on duty.
    • Ability to be sensitive to a diverse group of individuals, including the elderly and persons with disabilities.
    • Capability to perform as a frontline essential public servant.
    • Must be able to work around unsupervised children under the age of 18, or other vulnerable persons.

    This position is classified as safety-sensitive under MTA’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and is included in random drug and alcohol testing program. Note: MTA is subject to requirements of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act and CFR Parts 40 & 655, which prohibits the use of marijuana at any time while employed with MTA.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Able to walk, reach, push, grasp, and talk.
    • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Able to work varying shifts, hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Shifts vary in length, and will be assigned to meet business needs.
    • Able to work in hot or cold weather with different quality degrees of vehicle air conditioning or heating systems.
    • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

    UNUSUAL WORK REQUIREMENTS:

    Exposure to fumes and noise of traffic; tension caused by heavy traffic conditions; adverse and unpleasant passenger characteristics.
