    Summary
    Driving and operating of a specific service vehicle (tow trucks, battery service vehicles, light service vehicles) and operating towing equipment for AAA members and for commercial purposes. Performing simple diagnostics/troubleshooting on vehicles. Providing an outstanding customer service experience.

    Competitive pay: $27.50/HR with an opportunity to earn up to an additional bonus up to $1300 a month
    Essential Functions

    • Driving and operating a service vehicle (i.e. flat tire changes, lock-out, fuel delivery services, etc.)

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous. Service Providers are required to provide a photograph for identification purposes.

    Description

    On an assigned route or as a relief driver, operates an automotive van, truck, or related automotive vehicle to transport food, supplies, equipment, and money between designated schools.

    Qualifications

    • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the tenth grade.

    Duties

    • You will need to have experience driving Motor Coach Buses to qualify for this position. You will primarily be driving 26-56 passenger Motor Coaches, though you may also drive different sizes of passenger buses to transport passengers.
    • You will load and arrange cargo into vehicle using techniques and equipment (e.g., chains, binders, straps, tie-downs) for safe transit.
    • You will interpret instructions or specifications related to bus operations, preventive maintenance, and passenger safety.

    Working ConditionsOperators must be able to make a pre-check of all items on a vehicle and physically capable of operating controls of mass transit vehicles. These activities entail bending, reaching, kneeling, and stretching. Operators must be able to sit in a seat for a long period of time (up to 3 hours) without a break. Operator must be able to assist elderly and disabled passengers, including lifting and lowering a wheelchair passenger over one step.     Pay: $28,333.50 – $43,894.50 per year

    Essential Functions

    • Transporting and assisting the elderly, persons with disabilities, children and the general public while maintaining van equipment and record keeping.
    • Ensures the safe pick up and return of passengers.
    • Ensures vans are properly fueled and maintained
    • Maintains the van in good working order by regularly checking operating parts: and systems such as checking the fluid levels, checking tire pressure, checking belts and taking the van to the garage when scheduled for service.
    • Washes and cleans the van as needed.
