    Salary: $18.00-$24.00, based on experience

    Schedule: Weekend coverage Part-Time

    Summary:

    The Driver is responsible for managing the transportation schedule safely transporting residents, families, and team members to locations outside of the community on a timely basis.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Safely and lawfully operates motor vehicles that are authorized to transport residents, families and team members. Under no circumstances is a personal vehicle to be used for transporting resident on company business.
    • Understands how to fully operate each vehicle and associated equipment s/he is assigned to drive. Is responsible to fill out logs as required, identifies maintenance issues with vehicles, and participates in developing and ensuring effective preventative maintenance.
    • Manages resident transportation schedule process. Ensures coordination with Concierge and neighborhood Activities Coordinators, Care and Nursing Staff so that residents’ transportation needs are met on a timely basis.
    • Demonstrates patience and good nature when assisting residents with their transportation needs and with other drivers. Assists residents in with mobility and transfers to and from vehicles as needed.
    • Ensures that vehicles are kept spotlessly clean inside and out at all times. Completes safety checks before operating company vehicles including but not limited to turn signals, brake signals, lights, windshield wipers, horn, and seat belts.
    • Develops clear sense of direction and traffic patterns and demonstrates the ability to reach any location with a minimum of wasted time.
    • Embraces the role of ambassador for The Kensington when s/he is out in the community. Is unfailingly polite and non-aggressive as a driver.
    • Maintains a clear driving record with no moving violations.
    • Participates in other professional development activities as required.

    Knowledge and Skill:

  • Transportation Driver

    Salary: $19.26 – $28.89 Per Hour

    Essential Functions

    Completes training and development classes as provided by the Director/Supervisor/Safety Officer.

    Organizes schedule to ensure passengers reach destinations at appointed times.

    Calls passengers with proposed pick up times for early morning appointments.

    Transports passenger safely and proficiently in all Transportation vehicles.

    Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of transport vehicles for mechanical and/or safety issues.

    Maintains a clean vehicle at all times.

    Provides accurate information about the County to the public and courteously answer questions.

    Resolves transit related passenger concerns and practice defensive driving habits.

    Adheres to tight time schedules under varying weather and traffic conditions and still operate the transport vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

    Interacts with the general public and all Union County Transportation passengers in a professional and courteous manner, regardless of the actions of the passengers.

    Assists in the boarding and alighting passengers with disabilities including the use of four point securing of wheel chairs and scooters and affixing of shoulder and lap belts.

    Operates technological devices such as GPS, smart tablets, and computers for data entry.

    Maintains knowledge of and strict adherence to all Union County Transportation operating rules, policies, regulations, and passenger guidelines.

    Stays abreast of the terminology used within the department.

    Completes accident and incident reports accurately and legibly, as required.

    Conduct radio communications with other Union County Transportation vehicles and dispatch clearly.

    Communicates with the dispatcher throughout the day concerning cancellations and variances in daily planned route.

    Must be flexible and dependable.

    Maintains effective working relationships with others.

    Performs all other duties as may be required to meet organizational needs.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED), and six (6) months of experience in public driving, chauffeuring, and/or scheduling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Licenses or Certifications:

    Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to maintain a safe driving history as defined by the Union County Vehicle Use Policy.


    Special Requirements:

    Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times.

    Works outside of regularly scheduled hours for special events or training as required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Must be physically able to operate a conversion van/LTV, mini-van w/ramp, and/or handicapped vans/LTV with automated lifts, two-way radio, computer, telephone, etc. Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.   • Driver/Courier

    Job Type: Full Time

    Summary

    The Driver/Courier drives automobile or light truck to deliver clinical/medical materials,messages, documents, packages and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies, may occasionally transport office personnel and visitors, perform miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from the post office and sorting or opening incoming and outgoing mail. The Driver Courier will maintain digital or analog receipts, ledgers, and logs for articles delivered and received. The Driver Courier will also deliver items to offices and departments internal and external to the organization. Participates in investigation of Non-Conformance Reports and Root Cause Analysis.

    A. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Graduate or Completion of GED.
    • A clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
    • Must be able to independently lift materials that may exceed 35lbs.
    • Possess warehousing experience to include the processing of incoming materials for storage and pulling materials from inventory.

    SPECIFIC TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES Duties of the Driver Courier shall include the following:

    • Transport case material between operational locations.
    • Load and unload clinical/medical materials, messages, documents, packages, and mail from delivery vehicles.
    • The contract employee will be responsible for materials accountability and may be responsible for performing functions related to the survey and disposition of excess material and equipment.
    • Shift materials within the storage facilities and within the filing equipment to ensure maximum effective utilization of space.

    • The contract employee shall perform services that will ensure timely preservation, repackaging, movement, and storage of specimens to predetermined and annotated locations
    • Acknowledges receipt of microscopic glass slides, paraffin blocks, and formalin-fixed tissues in computer tracking system by Joint pathology center (JPC) accession number, ensuring accuracy.
    • Pulls materials from files upon authorized request, enters transfer of all materials in computer tracking system, and forwards to requester
    • Establish and maintain stock records and other documents, such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Nashville State Community College (NSCC) is seeking a qualified CDL Driver to operate a mobile classroom for its Workforce and Community Development programs and support NSCC students and initiatives. This mobile classroom may travel to all seven NSCC campuses, as well as to other community and industry locations. The CDL Driver/Operator will play a critical role in supporting the College’s mission to provide accessible education and training opportunities by ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the mobile classroom.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Safely operate a mobile classroom vehicle to designated locations, including NSCC campuses and community/industry partner sites. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Coordinate with program staff to plan routes and schedules. Set up and secure the mobile classroom at each site, ensuring a safe and functional environment for participants. Perform light maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with loading, unloading, and securing classroom equipment and materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of travel logs, fuel usage, and maintenance reports.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    High school diploma or equivalent

    Minimum two (2) years of experience operating large vehicles.

    Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B, with a clean driving record.

    Experience operating large vehicles, preferably in an educational or community outreach setting.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Familiarity with NSCC campuses or the greater Nashville area.

    Experience working with wide range populations or in a community-focused role.

    Ability to assist with minor vehicle troubleshooting and basic mechanical tasks.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Understanding of federal and state transportation laws and regulations. Familiarity with vehicle inspection procedures and basic maintenance practices. Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, including NSCC campus locations. Excellent driving skills with experience operating large vehicles in various settings. Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable transportation laws and regulations. Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and required documentation. Effective communication skills to interact professionally with program staff and participants. Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to schedules. Physical ability to load, unload, and secure classroom equipment, as well as set up the mobile classroom. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Driver-Light Vehicle

    Pay: $16.00 Per Hour

    Position Summary

    Operates light passenger vehicles, vans, pickup trucks, box truck etc., to transport passengers, materials, merchandise, or equipment within an industrial area. Loads and unloads trucks by hand or by use of mechanical devices such as hoists, pumps, lifts or winches. Performs miscellaneous errands such as carrying mail to and from post office and acting as chauffeur or courier. Requires a valid driver’s license. Must be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle. May require a commercial driver’s license.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Deliver and pick-up aircraft parts, material, tools and assemblies
    • Load, unload, and move products to appropriate work center(s) needing product
    • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
    • Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation
    • Turn in fuel receipts and receipts for incurred vehicle expenses
    • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or breaks to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
    • Runs, maneuvers, navigates, or drives vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts and cranes

    • Review job travelers before and after delivery to ensure the orders are correct and complete
    • Proper loading and securing of critical aviation parts for transportation is a must.

  • Tow Truck Driver

    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Shuttle Driver

    Pay: $33K – $50K

    Job Summary

    The Van/ Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting hotels guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle in a timely and courteous manner. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Duties entail but not limited to the following:

    Job Duties

    • Check Shuttle Log/ shuttle board and check for special shuttle requirements or discounts;
    • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards;
    • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation;
    • Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip;
    • Inspect property vehicle for damage and ensure both the interior and exterior of the vehicle are clean, neat and ready at the start of and the end of each shift;
    • Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle and refuel as necessary;
    • Ensure that all lights, signals, mirrors, brakes, seat belts, etc. are functioning and in good working condition;
    • Ensure supplies are present and stocked (i.e., First Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher, flashlight, water, etc.);
    • Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs.
    • Document all property vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager;
    • Report all injuries, minor and major, and unsafe work conditions to manager;

    Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 + per hour. We pay based on experience and years of service

    What you will be doing:

    • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
    • Interfacing with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
    • Conduct pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment
    • Loading and unloading fuel truck for delivery
    • Making fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses
    • Follow routes and time schedule

    Qualifications / Skills:

    • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
    • Valid CDL (minimum B)
    • Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
    • CDL AB preferred
    • Pass DOT physical; criminal background check; drug and alcohol testing
    • 1 years of oilgas delivery desired
    • Ability to drive in a safe and courteous manner
    • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
    • Previous experience with data entry skills to input data on a tablet preferred
    • Ability to maintain basic logs and records
    • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
    • Maintaining a good driving record
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Desired Licensure and experience, not required

    • Prior experience with fuel delivery
    • CTEP Certified
    • MA Propane license
    • NH Propane license
    • Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
    • MA hoisting/crane license
    • Medic First Aid and CPR card and be proficient in their application
