Salary: $25.00 – $30.00 Per Hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver/ Resident Assistant transports clients from their home or the hospital to the facility to begin their treatment program. The driver also transports clients, when needed, to various appointments. They act as support staff for the facility and may provide assistance with light housekeeping, facility upkeep, and other duties as needed to meet the needs of the client.
Essential Functions:
- Pick up and transport clients to and from treatment, and to any appointments they have while in treatment.
- Communicate traffic delays, accidents, or situations of concern with management. As it pertains to the transport of the client.
- Track all vehicle maintenance and maintain the vehicle in clean, operational order.
- Interact and communicate with the clients in a professional, courteous manner.
- Safely drive for extended periods in a variety of traffic and weather conditions while interacting with the client.
- Assist the client with the administration of a COVID test prior to entry into the vehicle.
- When not driving, work with the facility to assist with their needs for that day.
- Assist the facility with intakes, including searches of client’s belongings.
- Assist with documented checks (Q30s) on the clients.
- Ensure the building is secure when on facility grounds. Conduct safety checks.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class C (Class A or B preferred)
- Possess CPR/First Aid certification. (Can be obtained upon hire)
- Current TB test and health screen. (Can be obtained upon hire)
Required Education and Experience:
- Possess High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
- Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
- Current TB test and health screen.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid Class C vehicle license required.
- Class C vehicle license or higher with passenger endorsement preferred.
