Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving .
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes to deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Handle any issues or delays that may arise during the delivery process professionally.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving, preferably as a delivery driver.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is preferred.
- Familiarity with using forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
