Duties

• Safely operate shuttle vans and other commercial vehicles to transport passengers or cargo along specified routes.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, alighting, and luggage handling when needed.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper maintenance; report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure secure transportation at all times.
• Assist with light heavy lifting tasks such as loading or unloading cargo or luggage as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks including fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, brakes, and other essential systems to keep vehicles in optimal condition.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving or commercial driving preferred.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or bus driver; familiarity with paratransit or limousine services is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting luggage or cargo weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures relevant to shuttle van operation.
• Excellent time management skills to adhere to schedules reliably and efficiently.
• Prior experience operating various types of vehicles such as school buses or heavy-duty trucks is advantageous.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
