Light Service Tow Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing exceptional customer service during roadside assistance situations. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle various towing equipment.

Duties

• Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to transport vehicles safely to designated locations.
• Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed to ensure vehicles are roadworthy before towing.
• Load and unload vehicles from the tow truck with precision and care.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs during roadside assistance calls.
• Manage conflicts professionally and calmly, ensuring customer satisfaction in stressful situations.
• Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including vehicle condition reports and service logs.
• Conduct regular inspections of towing equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to respond promptly to calls for service.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is advantageous.
• Proven conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
