Escort Driver

Pay: $18.00 Per Hour

The Escort Driver supports orchard operations by safely escorting farm equipment, work crews, harvest vehicles, and authorized visitors throughout orchard property and along designated public or private access routes. This role ensures efficient movement, safety, and compliance with orchard policies while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.

Key Responsibilities

Operate escort or utility vehicle to guide and support the movement of orchard equipment, harvest trucks, and work crews.

Ensure safe navigation through orchard rows, access roads, and designated routes.

*
Monitor surroundings for safety hazards, pedestrians, wildlife, and other equipment.

Communicate effectively with equipment operators, supervisors, and crew members.

*
Assist with traffic control when moving equipment on or near public roadways (where applicable).

Follow orchard safety procedures, agricultural best practices, and operational guidelines.

Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after shifts and report any maintenance issues.

Maintain logs, route notes, or daily activity reports as required.

Support orchard management with general operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Experience driving utility vehicles, farm vehicles, or light-duty trucks preferred.

Ability to follow safety instructions and communicate clearly with team members.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Basic understanding of agricultural or farm operations is a plus.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including early mornings or extended harvest days.
