Driver (PT)

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Overview

We are seeking a responsible and professional Part-Time Driver to safely transport participants using a 12–15 passenger company van. This role offers flexible hours and requires a dependable individual who prioritizes safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 12–15 passenger van to transport program participants to and from designated locations.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company transportation policies.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules accurately and consistently.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation including mileage logs, trip records, and maintenance notes.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding schedule changes, delays, or any issues encountered.
• Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
• Report mechanical concerns immediately to appropriate maintenance personnel.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the organization respectfully at all times.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license; passenger endorsement or CDL not required unless mandated by state law.
• Proven experience driving passenger vans, shuttles, or similar vehicles preferred.
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening as required by state and organizational standards.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation guidelines.
• Ability to complete routine vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical concerns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist passengers safely and lift light items when necessary (if applicable).
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible part-time hours.
• Prior experience working with community programs, youth, seniors, or human service organizations is a plus but not required.
