Salary: $20.51 – $22.94 Per Hour

The Minneapolis Home is located on Minnehaha Avenue, which has connecting highways and public transportation options for an easy commute. The beautiful 53-acre wooded campus includes mature oaks and pines, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Mississippi River.

Minimum Qualifications

Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification /First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire
  • Working knowledge of state laws and regulations relating to the operation of passenger cars and light trucks
  • Ability to drive all types of passenger vehicles or light trucks
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving large passenger vehicles
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults
  • Time management skills sufficient to prioritize and maintain schedules

Additional Requirements

  • A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
  • A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
  • Finalists will be required to pass a driver’s license check.
  • Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant’s former employer(s).
  • Finalists will be subject to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident and return-to-duty drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Individuals not currently in the state commercial driver’s license random drug and alcohol testing pool must pass a pre-employment drug test for evidence of non-use of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and amphetamines
