Qualifications
- No Experience Required.We want the right Employee to Drive with Ryder
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
- 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts
- Travel Requirements Driver

- Hours Per Week: 40 – 50 or more hours per week

- Schedule: Sunday-Saturday Operation- will have 2 consecutive days off
- Route: Local Home Daily
- Tractor Type: Van
- Trailer Type: 20′ Reefer
- Equipment: Hand Truck & Rolling Racks
- Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Responsibilities
- Start Time: Dispatch 6:30 PM 8 – 13 hours per shift
- This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service
- Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Other tasks as assigned
