Salary: $47K – $67K
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve trailers from storage facilities or trailer suppliers as assigned.
- Prepare both the truck and trailer for each designated test route.
- Perform pre-route safety inspections on truck and trailer to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Operate the truck and trailer on a 100-mile public road test loop, typically lasting four hours.
- Run the route twice daily when required for urgent testing needs.
- Coordinate with the customer’s test engineer, who will be present during each test drive to record data and results.
- Capture real-world traffic conditions, including rush-hour scenarios, by starting routes around 8:30 AM.
- Refuel vehicles as needed and maintain basic upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Adhere to all DOT safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL license with trailer towing experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and all required compliance documentation.
- Clean driving record and strong attention to safety.
- Ability to perform light vehicle preparation and inspection tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of maintaining consistent route performance.
