  • Truck Driver

    Salary: $29.07 – $40.56 Per Hour 

    Primary Duties:

    • Flexibility in reporting to remote work locations within the PECO Energy system
    • Available for shift work as required
    • Available for off-hours work opportunities
    • Basic rigging techniques for lifting equipment and materials onto vehicles to deliver to various locations
    • Understands the proper method of securing different types of material to be loaded and transported
    • Successful candidate is expected to have the ability to progress to Equipment Operator should business needs require

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Three to five years experience in tractor/trailer driving experience and working with heavy equipment
    • Class A CDL license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
    • Experience working around or near energized equipment
    • OSHA Forklift certified or the ability to become OSHA Forklift certified
    • One to three years experience with basic rigging techniques for the lifting of equipment and materials onto vehicles for delivery to various location
    • One to three years experience using the proper method of securing different types of material to be loaded and transported on flatbed trailers
    • Working knowledge of boom trucks, and tractor-trailers

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Forklift Experience
    • Trained in the use of hand signals for cranes

  • Part-time Bus Driver

    Salary: $42K – $63K

    Description/Distinguishing Features

    Operates a Metro passenger bus following a designated schedule and route. Responsible for detecting malfunctioning equipment and reporting it, counting passengers carried, and fares collected. Work is reviewed through the safe and satisfactory operation of the vehicle and is performed on a shift basis.

    Part-time status indicates individual will not be scheduled more than 28 hours per week.

    Examples of Duties

    • Checks lights, brakes, steering, tires, radiator, and oil level prior to leaving garage;
    • Drives Metro bus on a number of assigned or special routes, picking up and discharging passengers at designated locations according to schedule;
    • Collects fares, transfers, or tickets from each passenger; issues transfers;
    • Obtains necessary repairs and maintenance work for vehicles;
    • Makes required reports of passengers transported daily and any unusual happenings;
    • Reports all accidents involving bus or passengers transported daily and any unusual happenings;
    • Reports all accidents involving bus or passengers immediately to Public Safety department;
    • Keeps bus clean and in orderly condition;
    • Complies with all laws and regulations concerning the operation of the vehicle including safety precautions and posted speed limits.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Some knowledge of the principles of bus operations;
    • Some knowledge of the street and road system of the City and State;
    • Good knowledge of driving courtesy and safety;
    • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
    • Ability to establish and maintain good public relations;
    • Integrity;
    • Good vision.
    • Work requires climbing, sitting, stooping, crouching, reaching, pulling, grasping, and repetitive motions; walking and occasional lifting equipment up to 40 pounds. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, road hazards and atmospheric conditions.

    Acceptable Training and Experience

    • Some experience in driving a bus or equivalent and completion of the tenth school grade;
    • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities.
