    Salary Range:

    This is a non-exempt position and pays between $20.67 – $27.56 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
    What you will do:

    • Effectively respond to and interact with organizational staff and customers.
    • Receive, store, and distribute materials and products.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
    • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds receptively and unassisted.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
    • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
    • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
    • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
    • Read orders such as customer, work, shipping, and transfer orders to determine products to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
    • Convey material and products from receiving area to storage or other designated areas.
    • Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves; or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
    • Load, transport and deliver customer orders and branch transfers to specified branches.
    • Responsibilities also include learning delivery area, checking orders for accuracy, executing cash management duties.
    • Complete truck safety assessment for mechanical problems prior to beginning routes.
    • Inspect truck supplies and equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
    • Responsible for safe operations of all vehicles and communicating the maintenance and care of the Vehicle.


    What you will bring:

    • Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
    • Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
    • Must possess a current, valid Driver’s License.
    • Must maintain violation free driving record.
    • Work hours: 3:30am – 12:00pm

  • Part Time Food Delivery Driver

    Beyond Green Sustainable Food Partners is a Chicago-based school lunch provider that specializes in scratch-cooked meals and snacks that students want to eat. Beyond Green is devoted solely to providing quality food to children in schools and childcare centers. Beyond Green does its best to reduce or eliminate waste in every facet of its operations.     Our company is seeking a part time (approximately 25 hours/week) Delivery Driver. We are looking for a reliable candidate who has great attention to detail. Please only serious candidates apply.

    Requirements:
    • Must be able to work between the hours of 5:30 AM to 1 pm. As this position does require early hours, we expect all team members to be able to arrive at 1640 W. Hubbard by 5:30 a.m. and begin work immediately.
    • Must be able to commit to minimum of 20 hours per week.
    • Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
    • Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds (stairs are involved at some drop-off locations).
    • Must be knowledgeable of the Chicagoland area, streets, and traffic patterns.
    • Must have, or be willing to obtain within the first week of employment, a ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate (Beyond Green will pay the fee for the certificate).
    • Must speak and read fluent English.

    Duties:
    • Organize food to be delivered, and load truck with insulated delivery containers..
    • Drive route and drop-off food at school locations.
    • Take and document the temperature of food upon delivery.
    • Communicate with school staff, kitchen management, and office management during delivery.
    • Bring prior days containers and dishes back to the kitchen.
    • Maintain truck: fill the truck with gas, clean interior and exterior, report any vehicle issues.
    • Periodically shop / pick-up food for the kitchen.
