    Salary: $20 – $23/hr

    The Haul Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb on or off trucks at various points throughout the day as well as perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning truck interiors. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays when needed.

    Detailed job duties include:

    • Drive trucks to and from job sites.
    • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, including but not limited to tires, brakes, lights, etc.

    • Perform pre-trip inspection of the truck before leaving the work site and inspect the engine compartment prior to departure as needed.

    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

    Provide customer service through the delivery and/or pick-up of parts and other products. Unload products from shipping vehicles and store at the appropriate storage area in the warehouse. Provide support to the warehouse operations of the branch. Delivery function accounts for about 50% of time.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all customers, ensuring the order being delivered is correct and maintaining professionalism in appearance and conduct.
    • Load materials into vehicle and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
    • Follow company delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency of delivery run.

  • Vehicle Driver

    Salary: $19.41 – $41.27 Per Hour 

    Introduction:

    The Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a licensed driver, whose priority is safety for all bus riders to include counselor staff, the Before/After participants and the Summer Camp Participants. Participants in these programs range from ages of 6 to 14 years. The selected individuals will be responsible for transporting school children on a passenger van and/or school bus to and from school each morning and afternoon, plus occasional field trips.

    The incumbent must:

    • Enjoy interacting with children and program counselor staff
    • Be able to make quick, critical decisions as safety is our number one priority.

    Driver will be required to perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately. Driver will, along with van attendant, safely transport all children to and from school on time and ensure full compliance with all policies and procedures. Driver will be based at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center in Lake Ridge. Typical shifts Monday-Friday during the school year; 7:00 am – 9:30 am and 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm – school days. Schedule may vary on non-school days and during summer camp months.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 8th grade education and 0-12 months of related experience.
    • This position requires 12 months of experience driving a passenger van in a childcare setting.

    NATURE OF WORK

    This class is part of the Transportation Services Job Family. Incumbents operate a County vehicle for delivering mail or providing bus service to senior and special need program participants.   • AAA Light Service Vehicle Driver

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

    AAA Light Service Driver. (base hourly + commission + bonus + tips) This position will require some light duty mechanical skills, but can be taught. You will be driving a company vehicle and servicing AAA members when they break down in the Madison area. We do tire changes, door unlocks, battery installs, and jumpstarts.

    Exceptional communication skills with customers and staff is expected. Paid training will be provided, applicant must be willing to learn the business. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license (at least 5 years) and a clean driving record.

    This position will require the following:

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Provides reliable and safe transportation for the patients.

    Schedule: This position is Monday – Friday with times ranging from 4am-9pm

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Transport patients and accompanying staff to office visits, hospital testing, out trips and other activities as requested.
    • Flexibility with work schedule (hours of work) to accommodate transportation needs.
    • Responsible for pre-trip inspection of patient wheelchairs and kid carts to ensure they are safe for transport, and for finding appropriate solutions/alternatives if necessary (e.g. ensuring chair has appropriate head rest, pommel, etc. or appropriate CPS compliant car seat)
    • Prepares vehicles for Clinic trips, ensuring they are properly fueled, warmed up, de-iced and parked in appropriate ambulance bay
    • Assists Transport RN and RT in gathering necessary supplies and preparing patient for Clinic Trip (e.g. pulse oximeter, blanket, stroller etc.)
    • Responsible for safely loading passengers and ensuring they are appropriately secure in vehicles utilizing Car Seat Passenger Safety guidelines.
    • Provides in the moment training and refreshers to necessary staff regarding lockdown procedure.
    • Trains new drivers and Transport staff in safe operation of all vehicles, wheelchair lifts and lockdown procedure
    • Cleans and stores any equipment used during Clinic trips (Car seat, pulse oximeter, stroller, etc.)
    • Responsible for non-Clinic related trips such as lab specimen drops, picking up/dropping off equipment and/or patient belongings, transporting supplies for various fundraisers, etc. as needed
    • Coordinates with Child Life and Recreational Therapy department to ensure vehicle availability for Community Integration Trips
    • Child Passenger Safety – After completion of Child Passenger Safety (CPS) course, fits patients into correct car seat for age and size, correctly install car seat into caregiver vehicle and provides education to caregivers.
    • Is familiar with the Transport Policies; Transporting Patient to Clinical Appointment, Vehicle Operator Safety, and Vehicle Use and Maintenance.
    • Responsible for safety inspections of all vehicles every three months including monitoring tire pressure/tread depth, various fluid levels, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts, etc to ensure all vehicles are in working order. Coordinates and schedules any necessary maintenance and repairs (oil changes, tire replacement/repairs, etc.), as well as pick up, drop off and towing, if necessary.
    • Maintains a log for each individual van and provides comprehensive monthly and YTD statistical report, including fuel cost, analysis of busiest days of week/time of day, most popular destinations, average trip length, etc.
    • Maintains fuel levels in vans and performs refueling runs as needed. Provides receipts of transactions to Finance department
    • Spot cleans interior and exterior of vehicles once a week and full cleaning of interior and exterior every once a month.
    • Coordinates and schedules PRN drivers as needed
    • Knows the mission and values of Ranken Jordan and in accordance, maintains appropriate professional behavior at all times.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or other appropriate leadership team member.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • The Driver must have valid Missouri CDL, Missouri Chauffeur’s license or Illinois Class C License
    • Complete a Defensive Driving Course through Ranken Jordan
    • Completion and successful passing of a Child Passenger Safety course is required within 90 days of hire.

    Pay: $27.50 Per Hour 

    Summary
    Driving and operating of a specific service vehicle (tow trucks, battery service vehicles/light service vehicles), and operating towing equipment for AAA members and for commercial purposes. Performing simple diagnostics/troubleshooting on vehicles. Providing an outstanding customer service experience.

    Essential Functions

    • Driving and operating a service vehicle (i.e. flat tire changes, lock-out, fuel delivery services, etc.)
    • On-scene time interacting with customer/establishing rapport, building relationships, trust and problem solving
    • Leverages sales skills for offering products and services from AAA to member during service interaction

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements

    • Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles. Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day; bending, kneeling and stooping as required for service calls. Works in all weather and all traffic conditions. Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous. Service Providers are required to provide a photograph for identification purposes.
