    This position is responsible for safely operating a passenger van for county residents along different designated routes.

    Qualifications/Knowledge:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age

    • Driving record must be free of disqualifying traffic violations as set forth in County guidelines

    • Ensures proper use of equipment and adherence to policies and procedures to promote effective operations for the protection of passengers and property
    • Operates wheelchair lift and secures wheelchair passengers as required

    Shuttle Driver

    The Shuttle Driver drives a passenger van to transport customers from the dealership to their home or business and may pick them up for a return trip to the dealership. The driver may assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. He or she will operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.

    The Shuttle Driver may perform errands for the dealership to transport or pick up materials from various local destinations. The driver also will clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories, keep records of trips and behavior of passengers (if disruptive). He or she may perform other duties when not driving, such as custodial and light building maintenance tasks.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Drive passenger van (up to 15 passengers) or a passenger vehicle to transport customers (log mileage).

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.


    The anticipated hourly range for this position is $16.66 – $24.26. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
    • May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
    • Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
    • Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
    • Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
    • Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
    • Notify supervisor if any one of the following items is discovered in the patient’s home:

    a) Physical abuse of any family member

    b) Home environment is unsafe for the care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children

    c) Animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions

    • May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.
    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance including the checking of gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes. Report malfunctions to supervisor.

    · Clean the vehicle after the last child has exited the van.

    · Report any maintenance concerns to the route supervisor.

    · Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.

    · Do not transport any unauthorized person without prior authorization from the director.

    · Assist in the classroom when not driving the van.

    Job description

    Salary: $1,200 -$1,400 average per week

    Semi-Local Dedicated Truck Driver

    Great opportunity for drivers who are looking for great pay and home time. $6,000 sign-on bonus. $500 paid after 1st load, $500 paid at 30 days, $1,000 paid out monthly for 5 months. No touch freight.
    • Drivers MUST be willing to drive at night or during the day.
    • Drivers deliver to 1 customer throughout the southeast; mostly south GA and FL

    Drivers will average 2100 MPW. Guaranteed 2000 miles per week.
    • Drivers on this account are home weekly for a 34 hour reset. 34 hour reset is not always weekends, but should usually be a Saturday or Sunday. Opportunity to be home a couple times per week for 10 hour breaks if drivers are in route within 50 miles from home.
    • No touch freight. 50% of loads will have a back haul to return to Newnan or the Atlanta area.

    Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 3 months experience in the last 36 months. The 3 months experience must be with no more than two carriers, and driver can have no preventable CMV accidents during the 3 months
    • 6-12 months OTR experience in the last 3 years with carriers less than 50 trucks/drivers. 3carriers maximum
    • 12 months safe OTR experience in the last 5 years. 4 carriers maximum.
    • 24 months safe OTR experience in the last 10 years. 6 carriers maximum.
