Motor Vehicle Operator

Salary: $29.30 – $34.18 Per Hour 

Duties

  • Operates a variety of gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles with approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds and up to 32,000 pounds (to include cargo vans, trucks, wheelchair van, and buses, etc.).
  • Determines route to be followed, taking into consideration such factors as ongoing hospital activities, weight limitations, and safety conditions.
  • Transports patients and family members, supplies, materials, or equipment throughout the medical center complex and the local public area.
  • Assures vehicle is not overloaded.
  • Performs required operator maintenance.
  • Maintains service records, completes delivery records, trip tickets, and compiles accident reports.
  • Loads and unloads crated equipment, supplies, and parts from vehicles.
  • Uncrates material as necessary and checks, counts, sorts materials, stocks and palletizes material, etc.
  • Operates a forklift truck (of up to 10,000 or more pound capacity).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must meet the below requirements.

This position requires the following:

  • A valid current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Passenger (P) Endorsement on your CDL
