Shuttle Driver

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Shuttle Driver will operate the RISEFX shuttle van (commercial, 15-passenger) to provide safe and timely transport between clients’ home or work and the SEARHC Comprehensive Addiction Services Program at RISE Wellness Center for appointments and treatments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Drives clients to appointments and treatments at SEARHC Comprehensive Addiction Services Program at RISE Wellness Center.

· Displays and maintains the highest level of customer service and professionalism to all clients, staff, and coworkers.

· Assists clients, as needed, ensuring a safe and comfortable transport experience.

· Maintains a professional appearance, to include company issued attire.

· Uses good judgment and practices safe driving skills to keep a timely shuttle route. Depending on route, may pick up/drop off several clients.

· Coordinates daily shuttle dispatch with SEARHC and keeps a record of client pick up points/times and drop off points/times.

· Uses RISEFX shuttle phone (with hands-free device) to communicate with clients and SEARHC regarding dispatch instructions and updates.

· Maintains daily mileage and fuel logs at the beginning and end of every shift.

· Assures shuttle van is properly cleaned and inspected at the beginning and end of every shift.

· Notifies supervisor of any servicing the shuttle van may require.

· Completes other reports, inspections, and documentation assigned by supervisor.

· Immediately report any accident or incident to supervisor; complete documentation as required.

· Assist with light, general housekeeping and groundskeeping in and around RISE Wellness Center, focusing on client-facing areas, as directed by supervisor.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strictly uphold confidentiality.

· Must be reliable and able to promptly start work at 5:00am.

· Capable of multi-tasking, operating in a fast-paced environment, problem solving, working independently, and remaining calm in urgent situations.

· Possession of the patience and tact necessary for direct contact with clients.

· Skill in operating a computer and mobile phone.

· Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record review.

Education and Experience:

· Must hold a current, unrestricted Alaska driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Prior experience as a driver or experience in transport, medical, and/or customer service preferred.

· Satisfactory completion of company training in client services, HIIPAA, and safety, or demonstrated competence based on previous employment experience.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit for extended periods.

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

· Frequent walking and standing.

· Ability to perform considerable bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling.

· Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to drive safely, observe, and communicate with clients, staff, and coworkers.

· Using hands and fingers for tasks like grasping and operating vehicle and equipment controls.

· Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.

Expected hours: 40 per week
