Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent time management skills. As a Local Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• $31.30/ hr OT after 40
• Monday – Friday 6/7:00 AM – 3:30 PM,
• Hauling food products from warehouse to foodbanks, mostly liftgate deliveries some cross dock.
• Vehicle will depend on daily load – could be box truck or TT,
• must be willing to break down pallets and consolidate on truck.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
• Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
• Handle refrigerated trailers as required, ensuring temperature control during transport.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency.

Skills
• 3 years of verified experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and local roadways.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• A commitment to safety practices and regulations in all driving activities.
