Cargo or Sprinter Van Driver

Salary: $28.00 – $32.75 Per Hour

Incentives

  • Seventy cents per mile beyond 100 miles per day
  • Company provides all commercial liability auto insurance , workers compensation, general liability and cargo insurance.
  • Unlike contractor roles, employee drivers do not pay fees, self-employment taxes, business licenses, or other business-related expenses-often resulting in savings of $100 or more per week.
  • No need to track business expenses other than mileage
  • Overtime for hours worked over 8 per day
  • Wages paid weekly.
  • Vehicle mileage is paid weekly

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload light cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Skills

  • Strong ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Knowledge of route driving techniques and local area navigation is beneficial.

Job Requirements:

  • MUST OWN a Cargo Van or Sprinter Van
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record (no DUIs, reckless driving, or cell phone violations in the past 3 years)
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test (including marijuana)
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test required
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam
  • Availability: may be required to work weekends and holidays; schedules vary depending on which route is open. Ask a recruiter for details.

Wage Range: 28.00 – 32.75 per hour
General Description of Benefits: Weekly pay includes $350 for vehicle use plus $4.20 for phone, based on a 5-day week
