Duties
- Safely operate shuttle vehicles, including buses, limousines, or paratransit vans, along assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Transport passengers or cargo efficiently between specified locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing friendly and professional customer service at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, checking for maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any route changes or delays
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as refueling, cleaning the vehicle interior/exterior, and reporting mechanical issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for bus or heavy vehicle driving) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling cargo as needed
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Prior experience with paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stay alert during long shifts and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
